Independent Merchant Advisory Notice

This guide uses M&P’s public information where we could find it (mulphilog.com/cash-on-delivery). M&P sets the terms, fees and payment times. This independent website does not manage seller accounts or make payments.

1. What Is M&P Retail COD?

M&P Retail COD is M&P’s cash on delivery option for individual sellers and small shops, such as sellers on Instagram or Facebook.

M&P offers two cash on delivery options: Retail COD and Corporate COD. Corporate COD is for businesses with a formal agreement. Retail COD suits smaller sellers who book parcels at an M&P courier centre.

2. How to Open an Account

To start, visit one of M&P’s more than 750 courier centres. We could not confirm M&P’s exact list of requirements, so ask the staff. They may ask for:

What You May Need

  • CNIC: Your CNIC.
  • Bank account: The bank account where you want cash on delivery money paid.
  • Shop details: Your shop name, a return address and a mobile number.

Ask the staff how long it takes before you can start sending COD parcels.

3. Sending a Retail COD Order

Once your account is open, sending an order is simple:

  1. Packing: Pack the item well. M&P sells My Flyer (for flat items and clothes) and My Box (for structured boxed goods).
  2. Filling in the booking form: Write the exact cash amount to collect, the buyer’s name, full address and phone number clearly.
  3. Receipt: Keep the receipt with the tracking number (at least 7 digits). Use it to follow the parcel and check payments.

To learn how box size affects the price, read our M&P parcel rates guide.

4. How You Get Paid

After the parcel is delivered, the cash goes through M&P’s payment process:

  • Collection: The rider collects the cash from the buyer at delivery.
  • Checking: M&P checks the delivery against your booking.
  • Payment: The money is paid into your bank account on M&P’s payment schedule.

Note: We could not confirm how long payments take. Ask your courier centre for the current payment times.

5. Failed Deliveries and Returns

Some cash on delivery parcels cannot be delivered, because the buyer is not home, the address is wrong or the buyer refuses the parcel.

When a parcel cannot be delivered:

  • Tracking shows a problem scan. We could not confirm how many more tries M&P makes.
  • If the parcel still cannot be delivered, it is marked Return to Shipper (RTO) and sent back to you. Ask M&P where you collect returned parcels.
  • We could not confirm M&P’s rule on buyers opening a parcel before paying. Tell your buyers your own policy clearly before you send.

To see how returns show in tracking, read our tracking status meanings guide.
